Veel producten zitten in plastic verpakt. Plastic garandeert een langere houdbaarheidsdatum, laat de inhoud niet vochtig worden en het is goedkoop te produceren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plastic verdwijnt in het milieu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Helaas blijkt in de praktijk dat plastic verpakkingen in het milieu<\/a> terecht komen. En dat heeft desastreuze gevolgen. Dieren zien kleine stukjes plastic aan voor voedsel en soms zorgt zwerfplastic voor verstikkingen of amputaties; vooral bij zeedieren.
De allerkleinste deeltjes plastic verdwijnen in de magen van zeedieren die wij op onze beurt dan weer opeten. Dat alles maakt plastic eigenlijk onwenselijk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabrikanten willen niet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Door een wereldwijde en keiharde concurrentie in de productie van goederen, blijven fabrikanten naar hun winstmarges kijken en kiezen er maar weinig voor duurzame verpakkingen. Ook wanneer wij er om vragen blijkt dat er zelfs geen antwoord komt. En Wapwinkel is te klein om druk uit te oefenen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De onwil is er niet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Zowel wij als veel van onze klanten zijn zich ervan bewust dat er een einde moet komen aan de massale plastic berg die we met zijn allen cre\u00ebren. Maar als fabrikanten waarop wij geen enkele invloed hebben veel plastic blijven gebruiken dan is daar weinig tegen te doen. Zelfs iets meer betalen helpt dan niet, want dat is geen optie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kunnen we dan niets doen?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jawel, in het najaar van 2019 gaat Wapwinkel voor losse kruiden en poeders<\/a> over op een biologisch afbreekbare papieren verpakking. Deze verpakking is gemaakt van ongebleekt papier en zo wordt het milieu zo min mogelijk schade aangedaan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
