De drugssmokkelaars hadden ruim twee ton coca\u00efne verstopt in containers gevuld met Boliviaans hout. De Boliviaanse en Chileense politiediensten werkten samen om deze illegale lading te ontdekken en te onderscheppen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vier containers met hout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het onderzoek naar de drugssmokkel begon op basis van politionele informatie, waarna vier containers met hout uit Bolivia werden gecontroleerd. Twee van deze containers bleken coca\u00efne te bevatten, in totaal ging het om maar liefst 2.157 kilogram coke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Arrestaties<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De drugs zijn in beslag genomen voor vernietiging, en de Boliviaanse politie heeft invallen gedaan bij de firma die het hout wilde exporteren en bij medewerkers van dat bedrijf. Het bedrijf gebruikte verschillende namen en vertegenwoordigers om controles te omzeilen. Hierbij zijn verdachten gearresteerd en voertuigen in beslag genomen. Het onderzoek is echter nog niet afgerond, en er worden meer invallen verwacht in de komende dagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Samen met de Belgen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De Boliviaanse autoriteiten werken nauw samen met hun Belgische tegenhangers om de criminele organisatie achter het transport van de coca\u00efne te ontmantelen. Informatie wordt uitgewisseld om de betrokkenen bij deze illegale drugshandel op te sporen en aan te pakken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grote hoeveelheid<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Het onderscheppen van deze grote hoeveelheid coca\u00efne toont aan hoe belangrijk internationale samenwerking is bij de bestrijding van drugssmokkel.
