Goirle – In een verrassende wending heeft de politie vanmorgen een baanbrekend onderzoek geopend binnen een bedrijfsverzamelgebouw aan de Vollerstraat, gelegen op het Tijvoort-industrieterrein. Daar troffen ze een immense hoeveelheid chemicali\u00ebn in jerrycans aan, met een capaciteit van naar schatting 7000 liter. Deze gevaarlijke substanties zijn van cruciaal belang bij de productie van synthetische drugs, wat duidt op een mogelijke distributiecentrumfunctie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onderzoek van de recherche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De ontdekking van deze clandestiene operatie kwam aan het licht dankzij doortastend rechercheonderzoek. Binnen dezelfde unit werd eveneens een assortiment aan apparatuur en materialen aangetroffen, welke vaak worden ingezet voor het vervaardigen van synthetische drugs, met inbegrip van apparatuur voor chemische processen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Om het gevaar voor de omgeving in te dammen, zijn experts van de Landelijke Faciliteit Ondersteuning Ontmantelen op de locatie aanwezig om de inhoud van de jerrycans te identificeren. Zodra dit onderzoek voltooid is, zal een specialistisch bedrijf worden ingeschakeld om de opslagplaats te ontruimen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pand sluiten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Burgemeester Mark van Stappershoef is van plan de rechtmatigheid van een mogelijke sluiting van het pand te onderzoeken. In zijn verklaring benadrukte hij het belang van gemeenschappelijke inspanningen met veiligheidspartners om zware criminaliteit in Goirle<\/a> en Riel te bestrijden. De burgemeester riep tevens de inwoners en ondernemers op om waakzaam te blijven en verdachte activiteiten te melden aan de politie of via Meld Misdaad Anoniem. Samenwerking is immers essentieel om de gemeenschap veilig te houden en om dergelijke illegale praktijken buiten onze dorpen te houden. Wat het allemaal helpt dat weten ze zelf ook niet, maar het houdt de strijders in de War on<\/a> Drugs wel lekker bezig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
