Naar wat nu bekend werd zijn er vorige maand zes mensen aangehouden na de vondst van vijfhonderd kilo coca\u00efne in een kermisattractie. De douane trof de drugs anderhalf jaar geleden aan in de holle stalen armen van een slingshot-attractie, die per boot was vervoerd van Cura\u00e7ao naar Rotterdam.<\/b>
\nNa uitgebreid onderzoek door het Openbaar Ministerie, de Koninklijke Marechaussee, de douane, de Fiscale inlichtingen- en opsporingsdienst en het ministerie van Defensie werden vorige maand vijf mannen en een vrouw opgepakt. Ze zouden lid zijn van een criminele bende.<\/p>\n

De verdachten – vari\u00ebrend in leeftijd van 35 jaar tot 59 jaar – komen uit Rotterdam, Den Haag en Zoetermeer. Vier van hen zitten nog vast. Meer aanhoudingen worden niet uitgesloten. Bij het ontdekken van de coca\u00efne werd vorig jaar al een 50-jarige man uit Den Haag gearresteerd. De kermis attractie was voor hem bestemd.<\/p>\n

De partij drugs in de slingshot attractie had een straatwaarde van zo’n 15 miljoen euro. Tijdens huiszoekingen werd ook beslag gelegd op dertien kilo coke, zeven auto’s en cash geld ter waarde van ruim 1,1 miljoen euro.
