De wiet in de plaats Helenaveen stond weliswaar opgesteld onder de blote hemel, maar was vanaf de grond nauwelijks waarneembaar door de omliggende struiken. De planten zijn de speurneus natuurlijk ook maandenlang ontgaan&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>De wietplanten lagen verscholen aan de oever van het kanaal van Deurne. Om bij de planten te kunnen komen moest de opgeroepen politie met een bootje het vaarwater oversteken.<\/p>\n<p>Boswachters, wijkagenten en medewerkers van de dierenpolitie werkten samen aan de ontmanteling van de plantage. Het ging in totaal om 275 wietplanten, 750 stekken in plastic potjes en allerhande kweekmateriaal. Verder werd ook afval opgeruimd dat ter plekke was gedumpt.<\/p>\n<p>Zo zie je maar dat je zelfs als je bent opgeleid en aangesteld voor het behoud van flora en fauna, je je toch laat opzwepen tegen de hetze dat wietplanten verboden zijn en help je vrolijk mee om de planten te vernietigen. Wie de kwekers er kwaad mee hebben gedaan lezen we nergens, net zo min als de schadelijke aanwezigheid van deze prachtige planten in een gebied waar alleen Arnoud Jakobs rond loopt.
